
The course “Creative Communication and Writing” is designed for bachelor students majoring in Journalism and PR (specialty 061) and aims to develop essential skills of creative, expressive, and professional communication in English. It combines theoretical knowledge of media language, stylistics, and writing strategies with practical activities that improve students' ability to produce various types of journalistic texts.
Throughout the course, students will explore the fundamentals of writing, the specific features of print, electronic, and digital media, techniques of persuasive communication in advertising, and the stylistic tools used in contemporary mass media. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, intercultural communication, and mastering genre-specific writing for modern media platforms.
The course structure includes interactive tasks, self-assessment tests, and creative projects that enhance writing fluency, media literacy, and the ability to express ideas clearly and engagingly. By the end of the course, students will be able to produce professional-level content for diverse media environments in English.
The course is delivered in English and corresponds to the B2 level of CEFR. It includes 5 content modules, self-study components, and summative assessments.
